In 2004 we asked the composer Torsten Rasch to orchestrate our music for “Battleship Potemkin” after hearing his work, “Mein Herz brennt” (“My heart is on fire”), a cycle of songs inspired by the lyrics of the German rock band Rammstein. This work will be performed for the first time in the UK by the London Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday, May 31st, in the Royal Festival Hall, London. If you’d like to go, we have an exclusive £10 ticket offer from the London Philharmonic Orchestra Ticket Office on 020 7840 4242. Just quote ‘Pet Shop Boys Offer’ when buying tickets.
UPDATE: The London Philharmonic have now informed us that this offer only applies to telephone bookings not online bookings.

Doug, the director of our new video, used to be in The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Fed up with people telling me they’ve downloaded our album for free from some site but “Don’t worry, I’m going to buy a copy!” What a weak industry this is.
“Yes” gets another positive review in the USA, this time from “Entertainment Weekly” magazine. The link is below.
Good title for a novel.

The folks at Astralwerks, our new American record company (after EMI America, EMI Manhattan, Atlantic, Sire, Sanctuary and Rhino — it’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it!) are doing a great job raising visibility in the USA prior to the release of “Yes” there. Here’s the link to their PSB micro-site.
It’s just been pointed out to me that on the front cover of this book there’s a quote from me taken from a Pet Text on this site. It’s an excellent read.
Chris last week at the famous German film studio Babelsberg near Berlin. We shot a one-take “video” for “Did you see me coming?” on a mobile phone.
Just finished an epic song! “after the event”. It’s the second of three b‑sides we’re doing this week.
Doing a photo session for an American magazine. Then back to work on b‑sides.
