We are now a week away from the opening show of Obscure Pet Shop Boys at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. Doors will open at 6pm for ticketed fans who will have access to our exclusive Pet Shop Boys Lounge where you can relax and browse the new “Pet Shop Boys since 1984” and “Obscure” merchandise ranges. Copies of “Volume” and Neil’s “100 Lyrics and a Poem” book, a limited number of them signed, will also be available to buy. Clubbing legend Princess Julia will DJ from 7.15pm — 8.15pm before PSB take to the stage at 8.30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Faber & Faber today publish the paperback edition of Neil Tennant’s book, One Hundred Lyrics and a Poem, with a new introduction by Jon Savage. It is now available in book shops and online stores.

Pet Shop Boys’ debut album “Please”, featuring the hit singles “West End girls” , “Love comes quickly”, “Opportunities (Let’s make lots of money)” and “Suburbia”, was released on this day 40 years ago.

Neil and Chris chose the album title so people could go into a record shop and say “Can I have the Pet Shop Boys album, please?”

A few last-minute tickets for all five nights of “Obscure Pet Shop Boys” have become available! They will be released tomorrow, Wednesday 25^th March at 10AM GMT via the link below.

Neil and Chris visited the offices of Thames & Hudson in London last week, to sign copies of their forthcoming book, “Volume”. The signed copies will be for sale at Rough Trade, John Sandoe Books, Goldsboro Books and Selfridges in London, Resident Music in Brighton, and a number of independent booksellers across the UK.

Out on April 7^th, “Volume” can also be ordered through the official PSB store as well as from Amazon and other online retailers.

We’d like to wish Liza Minnelli a very happy 80^th birthday! We loved working with her on the “Results” album and have so many great memories of that experience. Liza is a true star and it has been a privilege to know her. Look out for her autobiography which is published this week. xx

35 years ago today, Pet Shop Boys released their hit medley of U2’s “Where the streets have no name” and Frankie Valli’s “I can’t take my eyes off you” as a double A‑side single which also included the PSB song “How can you expect to be taken seriously?”.

This Pet Shop Dog is loving our new merchandise samples!

We arrived back from São Paulo this morning and this afternoon went to see Tracey Emin’s heartfelt retrospective which opened at Tate Modern last week. Highly recommended. 

Pet Shop Boys would like to thank the wonderful audiences in Chile and Brasil for dancing and celebrating with them these past few days. The “Dreamworld” tour continues with more shows in Europe and the UK this summer.
