In 2004 we asked the composer Torsten Rasch to orchestrate our music for “Battleship Potemkin” after hearing his work, “Mein Herz brennt” (“My heart is on fire”), a cycle of songs inspired by the lyrics of the German rock band Rammstein. This work will be performed for the first time in the UK by the London Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday, May 31st, in the Royal Festival Hall, London. 35 years ago today, Pet Shop Boys released their hit medley of U2’s “Where the streets have no name” and Frankie Valli’s “I can’t take my eyes off you” as a double A‑side single which also included the PSB song “How can you expect to be taken seriously?”.

We arrived back from São Paulo this morning and this afternoon went to see Tracey Emin’s heartfelt retrospective which opened at Tate Modern last week. Highly recommended.
