Very sad to learn that this renowned music shop is closing in Newcastle. As a teenager I used to visit after school and ask to listen to David Bowie in one of their stereo listening booths and then browse through the records and sheet music and wish I could afford a posh guitar. Pet Shop Boys today release Bryce Miller’s mix of “It’s a sin”, which previously featured in the trailer for the Netflix show, “Monster: The Ed Gein Story”. The song is now available to stream and a visualiser video is available to watch on YouTube.
We are so sad to hear that Dave Ball, the keyboard genius of Soft Cell, has died. He was an electronic pop pioneer and with Marc Almond made a unique catalogue of songs, completely original in sound and content. Our love and condolences go to Marc and all those close to Dave. Yesterday we went to Wilton’s Music Hall for the dress rehearsal and then the first preview of “Musik”, the Jonathan Harvey/PSB show starring the brilliant Frances Barber as Billie Trix.
