Five days ahead of its official release, Pet Shop Boys’ “A man from the future” will be made available to hear in full during two BBC global radio broadcasts on Sunday, 4^th October. The album will be given its world premiere along with an interview with Neil, Chris and Alan Turing biographer Andrew Hodges during Stuart Maconie’s “Freak Zone” show on BBC Radio 6Music on Sunday, 4^th October at 8pm UK time.

Following its world premiere on BBC Radio 6Music, “A man from the future” will also be broadcast in full on BBC Radio 3 at 11.30 pm UK time on Sunday, 4 October during Elizabeth Alker’s “Unclassified” programme, which will also feature a chat with Neil and Chris.

Pet Shop Boys’ classic “Suburbia” was released on this day 40 years ago. The music video was directed by Eric Watson and filmed in the suburbs of San Bernardino and Duarte in Los Angeles and in Kingston-upon-Thames in Greater London.

Pet Shop Boys and Andrew Hodges’ listening and conversation event for “A man from the future” at the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester is now sold out. The conversation will also be filmed and made available to watch online shortly afterwards, with further details to be revealed here in due course.

On this day 30 years ago, Pet Shop Boys released their sixth studio album, “Bilingual”. This was taken in 1996 by Andy Earl during a publicity session for “Single-bilingual”.
