Pet Shop Boys were presented with the award for “Godlike Genius” at the culmination of the NME Awards in Brixton, London, last night. The award was presented to Neil and Chris by Johnny Marr who said that they had “changed pop music with hit after hit after hit”. Pet Shop Boys then performed a 30-minute set: “Vocal”, “The Sodom and Gomorrah Show”, “It’s a sin”, “Left to my own devices”, “West End girls”, “Domino dancing” and “Always on my mind”. More details about the awards at the links below.
Thanks to the wonderful “Dreamworld” and “Obskur” audiences in Berlin who came out to dance with Pet Shop Boys over the last 3 days. A special thanks to Princess Julia and The Hidden Cameras for performing at the sold-out shows at Huxleys Neue Welt. After a short break, the “Dreamworld” summer tour continues in Spain and Norway before finishing in Denmark.
