It has just been announced that Pet Shop Boys will be performing at this year’s Moogfest in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. Moogfest, described as “the synthesis of technology, art and music”, aims each year to celebrate the legacy and creative vision of Robert Moog, the legendary inventor of the Moog Synthesiser, and the list of artists performing is a who’s who of electronic music including this year Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Chic/Nile Rogers and M.I.A.

“Battleship Potemkin” with music by Pet Shop Boys opens in selected cinemas in the UK and Ireland for the first time today. To mark its centenary, Sergei Eisenstein’s legendary silent film was restored by Deutsche Kinemathek. A full list of UK cinema dates is available on the BFI website at the link below.

To mark the centenary of Sergei Eisenstein’s legendary silent film, “Battleship Potemkin”, a restored version made by Deutsche Kinemathek, featuring the celebrated score by Tennant and Lowe of Pet Shop Boys, will be released for the first time in cinemas and on a two-disc Blu-ray and CD package by the BFI.
