Pet Shop Boys are pleased to announce that Jon Hopkins will support them at London’s O2 Arena next Tuesday (June 18th). Jon is a composer, pianist and producer, as well as a long-time collaborator with Brian Eno and Coldplay. This year he released his fourth solo album “Immunity”, which is one of the most exciting and critically acclaimed electronic records of the year. His previous album ‘Diamond Mine’ (with King Creosote) was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2011, and in the same year he was nominated for an Ivor Novello award for his soundtrack to the film ‘Monsters’. Jon will be onstage at the O2 at 7.30 pm and PSB at 8.45 pm.
If you weren’t able to go to any of last week’s five PSB shows in London, or you just want a memento of those special concerts, “Obscure Pet Shop Boys” merchandise, including a sweatshirt and three different T‑shirts, is now available in the official PSB store at the link below.
