Neil and Chris would like to thank everyone who has sent in messages of sympathy to the family and friends of Dainton Connell at this sad time. Some fans in Moscow have left flowers at the site of the accident and, again, we would like to thank them for their kindness and condolences. (Thanks to Elena for photograph.)
A march was held in North London yesterday before the home game at Arsenal. Approximately 400 people participated, carrying flowers and photographs of “The Bear”. As we said in our earlier report, those who met him, did not forget him.
We are sad to hear that the distinguished British photographer Martin Parr, famous for his wryly distinctive images of everyday life, has died. In 2002 we asked him to direct the video for our song “London” and he made a short film which, in its combination of urban pathos and quirky London street life, was instantly recognisable as his work. We send our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Neil and Chris xx
